About us

There are two things in life we at GringoFly are absolutely crazy about: flying paragliders and distant travel. We enjoy helping others turn their childhood dreams of flying into most beautiful of memories.

We specialize in organizing unique paragliding courses, coaching sessions and paragliding tandem flights in the south of Poland. Anyone who would like a taste of flying will find a suitable option in our offer. We offer free flying in the mountains, acrobatic flights and motorized flights with a professional paragliding trike in the nearest surroundings of Kraków.

We also organize and run custom-made events, competitions, excursions and adventure trips for non-pilots and paraglider pilots of all levels.

As a dealer of top paragliding brands we offer full range of paragliding equipment for pilots and aspiring pilots of all levels. We are happy to advise and support you in finding the right gear for you, just call and tell us what your needs are.

We work exclusively with the best Polish pilots including current and present Polish Paragliding Champions, record holders and National Team members.

Description

Self-lubricating Nylatron® rollers and full contact bearings for high dynamic loads.

Orbit Blocks™ ball bearings have the highest strength-to-weight ratio available. This is achieved through versatile reinforced polymer materials.

The precision design provides the optimum number of ball bearings for minimal friction, and weight reduction is achieved through the use of fiber reinforced composites.

UV stabilized, multi-strip impregnated with SK75 Dyneema®

Ronstan's proven two-stage bearing system (series 30 and larger) features high compression Acetal ball bearings and a full contact secondary bearing. This gives minimal friction over the entire working load range.

The roller and bearing system is supported by a fiber reinforced load frame, computer modeled and optimized using advanced stress analysis methods.

Dyneema® Link, used in pulley blocks, is manufactured from high specification SK75 fibre, which is 10 times stronger and lighter than steel, and provides the final connection from the pulley to the load point.

Winch release

The winch release to disconnect from the line is split into two parts, which means that after disconnecting from the tow, we will have two separate parts attached to our carabiners. The latest model was made according to the idea of ​​well-known pilot and trainer Kamil Antkowiak. 

The rope release has been tested. The new release mechanism has a low frictional resistance and is easier to install. The release handle is getting closer and closer, making it easier to reach by pilot.

Ultralight, universal paragliding carabiner

With a weight of only 45 g and a breaking load of more than 25 kN, the UNILOCK is currently the lightest and at the same time most loadable paragliding carabiners on the market.

In the fatigue test, it endured 2.000 load cycles with an upper load of 252 DaN and subsequently 5 min. load cycles with an upper load of 115,4 DaN. The UNILOCK thus achieves a fatigue strength of 5 years in mono use.

Overview of the Finsterwalder UNILOCK's most important features:

The snap gate turned by 45° facilitates the attachment to the harness.
The design in the shape of a “3” with a high stability against twisting.
The UNILOCK is suitable for both narrow and wide webbing.
The lower belt chamber has an extra support surface for the hip belt, which slightly raises its position. This has a positive effect on the comfort of the harness.
Red/green marking simplifies orientation when attaching the risers.
Gate play individually tested.
